They're obviously not for everybody

Series Rovers are loud, slow, uncomfortable and full of quirks with more in common with the Model A than current models. On the other hand, mine is 45 years old, still on the road and doesn't require a skilled mechanic with a shop full of specialized electronic diagnostic equipment to keep it running. Correctly rebuilt Series Rovers are bring $20,000 to $30,000 or more these days. The one at the end of your road may be worth a couple thousand or more to the right buyer if it's complete and has relatively straight body panels. It really comes down to a matter of taste and how you plan to use something. I prefer my 48 year old Alberg to the modern Beneteau. Most folk wouldn't.
