I'd like to put eyes in my older 7/16 jib sheets and attach to the clew with a soft shackles. First try at doing the splice, I couldn't get the cover to milk down back over the splice. The line is nothing special, just normal double braid - not core dependant. Wondering if anyone had any tricks for working with older line??
