My first try failed - couldn't milk the cover back over the eye.
Since then, I've washed the jib sheets, let them dry, treated them with fabric softener, and let them dry again. Another change was to use the instructions for splicing used line - a bit different than for new line. Anyway, both jib sheets now have an eye in one end.
Next is to make a soft shackle to attach the sheets to the clew. Making the noose end is easy. Making the button knot is harder. I've been trying it with para cord, and think I've got it. For some reason, the instructions make it seem more difficult than it is - very confusing. But once you figure them out, off you go. We'll see how I make out tomorrow with some 1/4" Amsteel.
