I bought a car power seat motor to modify my Snowblower chute rotation (also bought a spare, they were cheap). http://www.sciplus.com/p/CAR-SEAT-312VDC-GEAR-MOTOR_49248
The original manual chute rotation crank was mounted too low and turned the wrong way (clockwise turned the chute left, and vice-verse). (Just imagine driving a car that turns left when you turn the wheel right.)
Every time I needed to turn it I'd have to stoop to just above knee level and would have to think about which way, as it was unintuitive and annoying.
I hooked this motor into the crank shaft using copper pipe and cotter pins, a DPDT-center-off momentary contact toggle switch, and a 7AH 12v SLA battery. It works like a charm. Now the switch is on the control panel and no more bending (or thinking). Wouldn't want to think too much
