I've bought a few of those in my iceboating days after I've accidentally decapitated them. I heard of one big skeeter up in a hike that put it's windward runner through a fishing shack. Fishermen and iceboaters seem to manage to avoid each other - no real 'ice' wars that I've heard of. I have had fishermen tell me that they like the ice boats - fishing seems to pick up after the ice boats start running back and forth. Perhaps the sound of the runners on the ice wakes them up or makes them hungry?
