I believe that our solar panels and our LED cabin light make them unnecessary down below. Now we just use our regular cabin lights. As an "at anchor locator light" we have built into our wind generator pole a blue LED that we turn on when we will be returning after dark. I plan on hanging the Luci light at the bow to mark the pointy end.
