I'm in a clutch situation time wise, but I see a bright side. Any outside work would be miserable, not to mention there has been no weather for coating applications.
That hasn't bothered me. There's been just enough solar gain inside the cover to work pleasantly(the darkness aside...) in shirt sleeves while outside has been so miserable. I've watched others quit boat projects in my yard, after a few minutes. In fact, nearly all the boats are still covered.
The next few - mostly cold and wet - days forecast will be fine to fit in the last steps under the tarp: Painting the hull fiberglass and cutting and fitting the 'ledge' I'm still working on in my mind.
I've been tossing scraps and shards of my cockpit out the back 'chute' in my cover. I have a permanently placed ladder in that opening I can use even in the rain. The chute through the excess tarp doesn't require untying anything(no time wasted). I've gathered stuff up below to go to the dump soon(I'm still using the remains to find needed clues for measurements, etc.).
Meanwhile, back at the shop, I'm nearing the end. The lids on benches are caulked and drying. Caulking the bridge and aft decks are about the last step before I ready for touch down.
