Really neat.

Last year, between Block and Martha's vineyard there were breaching smaller whales late in the afternoon. We saw a bunch of other whales in Cape Cod Bay on the way up to Maine; and, on the way back.

It's really special to have them around. Several times, over the years, we've had twenty or twenty-five foot whales that would occasionally role up and swim parallel to the boat -- only twenty or thirty feet away.

A few times, I've had the experience to looking at one looking at me (Like Castaway's big blue whale that eyed Tom Hanks in the movie). That big eye seemingly focused on me and the boat. I'll never forget the feeling. That HUGE eyeball above the surface staring at me. I know it's dumb, but I wondered what they were thinking as they eyed me. ;^)))
