Our broker is a master at taking photos. When we sold the Islander he chose a beautiful sunny day and took close to two dozen photos inside and out. One of the first questions many of the potential buyers asked was how many years ago were the photos taken. In our case it was days, not years and he spent a great deal of time showing the boat. It sold within two weeks. We removed most of our personal items at his direction, the theory was that the boat would look bigger and potential buyers could envision the boat with their things on board.
The brokerage employees several other people in cities on Lake Erie, they don't seem to get it. The photos are poorly done and there may only be one or two. We found that frustrating when we were looking.
