any of you run without an oil cooler? The oil coming out of my oil cooler is 165 degrees, the engine runs at 185. That's only a 20 degrees difference. The water temperature going into the cooler is 103. Wouldn't the engine run cooler with 103 entering the the block instead of 165? 165 degree water, it would seem, wouldn't have much "cooling " left in it. Most cars run at 212 so it's not like the oil would get to hot. I wouldn't think that the oil would get any hotter then the engine it's in-185. A friend down the dock took his off and his engine runs fine. Any input???
