Funny thing about the teak. My wife said, among other things she wanted on the new boat, was a teak toe rail. Well after two springs of doing the maintenance on it she has second thoughts. She is a perfectionist, driven mostly by her craft, so if it isn't just right she is back at it. The toe rail is beautiful BTW, when we got the boat the toe rail was a mess.
Like the islander it has a very open layout. The sailing performance is so much better than the Islander as well. The waterline length is 32' which is about 4' more than a Bermuda 40'! Of course there are issues, but overall we are really happy. As a friend said when we were delivering her from CT. "she sails like a church"
