Last sail of the year ...

... Veteran's Day, Friday, November 11, 2016 ... Redfish Lake, Sawtooth Mountains, Central Idaho. The day was 65 degrees, maybe 30 degrees above normal this time of year, perfect light westerly breeze 6 to 10. Usually, the lake is frozen this time of year, with 2 to 3 feet of snow on the shoreline, and quite a bit more than that up in the higher elevation peaks in the background, which are about 11,000 feet. We pulled the Herreshoff 12 1/2 out of the Barn for one last day sail, a fitting end to another wonderful season of sailing, both in Idaho and New England with the Tartan 40, Asolare. Cheers, John
