On our trip south a year or so ago, we had a difficult time with moisture under the v-berth. Then we used a product called "dry-bunk" which worked, but not to our satisfaction. We installed the Froli System largely because it will allow air under the cushions. After installed, there is about an inch clearance. That has taken care of the moisture problem and has given us additional support. If you have these problems, then I recommend the product.
