Pig Boats, for their pig like snout. There is a Whaleback at Barkers Island in Superior, WI that is a museum. Also a broad history of Great Lakes Shipping, it spends a lot of time on whaleback history.

The concept was a good one. They were efficient and rode out the storms well. (When their hatches didn't leak.) But, as Conventional freighters continued to get larger, the whaleback whose size was inherently limited by its design, could no longer compete.
