THANKS for kind words Logan.
Sorry, I was not worked up, I just wanted to get across that it didn't even affect us. It was only some info on the El Nino and if one was expected. AND that the info came from Jimmy Cornell at NoonSight, a source I consider very credible.
YES we ARE hoping to get back to our boat soon. It's been way to long since we were gently rocked to sleep by the waves. Way to many sleepless nights for reasons not related to the sea, but required as the least we can do in honor of our son.
Just now I don't know what direction our future cruising will take. We are re-looking at our full time cruising. We know that we cherish our time with our sons. So we may start part time cruising, part time with them.
Another good friend of ours who is a part time cruiser (now in the South Pacific) gave us a hint at how they look at it. They cruise for 6 months to a year at a time. He/they say that after that long aboard, it dos not feel so special any more. So then they head to a shore side house, stay there for a number of months till it starts to get boring or they get fed-up with the local stuff. Then head out again.
Besides all of that, I guess it's time to update a few items on the boat. When we departed in 04, I did not know about AIS. I sure would like to have a unit aboard now, along with some other new toys. This also gave us a chance to off-load some items we had along that we never used for 4 years.
