In Banderas Bay we couldn't offset enough. (pic)
We were anchored off the new marina at La Cruz near PV and the Navionics chart was of by 2.1 miles. I could only offset the C-series a bit more than one mile so I turned turned off the offset. As you said, you never know when it will change to a new chart.
Opted for the side by side comparison of chartplotter and radar. Worked much better.
