In any case, if the S. Pacific charts, for example, have mostly been updated, then it sounds like it won't be a problem by the time we get around to taking off. I assume that the C-Map chip we'd buy would have the latest updated charts. (I've also got a set of hundreds of old S. Pac. paper charts...would be interesting to compare the two.)

Definitely a situation where I can see the value of radar (which I don't have...yet...).
