I thought I'd lighten up the mood.
From Chris Rea, one of my favorite artists. This guy is something else. A few years back, he almost died. Something to do with a failing immune system. In a weakened state, he agreed not to tour, so as to conserve his energy and rebuild his health. In the ten months that followed, he wrote, produced and recorded an epic salute to the history of the blues called, "Blue Guitar." Each of the ELEVEN CDs in the set contains music in the style of the various origins of the blues including New Orleans, Chicago, Memphis, Irish, African, etc.
A truly fantastic effort by a gifted man.
