Once you have your Credit card information on file at Amazon, you can use the one click feature to buy. It's fantastic and so easy and quick that I almost always shop Amazon even if I don't think they carry it.
I restored a power boat a couple of years ago, bought a Mahogany Steering wheel, the Telex Steering system and a whole host of other supplies from amazon. If you're a regular shopper like I am, their Amazon Prime is an excellent Bargain.
For $79/yr you get free 2nd day shipping on qualifying merchandise. (This is pretty much items sold by Amazon, not one of their 3rd party Vendors.) It pays for itself in a couple of purchases, if you use it as much as I do. And a bump to next day is only $3.99 if you need it faster.
Speaking of 3rd party vendors, stuff I have purchased through Amazon has come from Overtons, Cabelas, Northern Tools, Target, Short's Marine in DE (the telex cable system) and a whole host of other small retail re-sellers. Sales that are all backed by Amazon.
One thing I always buy from Amazon is Sanding discs. They have a good selection of sanding discs in boxes of 100, which brings the per piece cost way down over the nearly $1.25 each asked by Ace, True Value and Home Depot. At that price, I usually Have a full box each of 80, 100, 120 and 200 on hand to back up the respective open boxes.
They and the 3rd Party Vendors are so consistently price competitive, it really takes a lot of stress out of "shopping," which I just dread in most cases.
Now if Stephan would set up Defender to become a 3rd Party Vendor at Amazon... Then we'd have something. :D
I look at it this way, any time I can use Amazon One Click, I will. Because that is another time I have not put my credit card information at risk of being intercepted or waylaid in transit. Especially, if it qualifies for Amazon Prime shipping, which reduces the cost factor even more.
And to bring it back to the music, Amazon has many of the albums they carry available for download. Usually at a reduced cost of the CD or the individual songs for .99, if you just want the one song. All of course, available on One Click. :D
cheers.
