The model is built at the 1"=1' scale (1/12th scale). It is a Morris M36 built from the original Sparkman and Stephens lines. The turnbuckle itself is about 1" long. I drilled and tapped the body on my lathe and used my milling machine to mill the slots into the body.

The model is radio controlled and sails very nicely. The picture below is of the finished model. It is for sale if you are interested.
