I used a Kindle I extensively while cruising from Florida to Maine this year. Every day I would download (via its built in cellphone connection) the New York Times to keep up with the world. When I wanted a new book I would browse Amazon's selection and download a new book for $10. I had a good connection in most parts of the east coast, exceptions being Ga and North Carolina and a couple of places in Maine. In those locations I could download by air card to my pc and then transfer the material to my Kindle. Once in Oriental I couldn't get either a Kindle or Verizon air card connection, but I had a good wifi connection at The Bean so I used that.

I like the Kindle a lot.
