I am continuing with my slow but steady move toward SSB. I had two sintered bronze ground plates attached to the underside of the hull a couple of years ago, and I found a used SEA 230 tuner and am now about to start attaching a 3" copper strap to fuel tank, water tanks, toe rail, etc. What I am unclear about is: should these straps go the tuner and then have one copper strap go to the ground plate (one ground plate is attached to the other with a 3" copper strap) or should all the straps go to the ground plate and have one go from the ground plate to the tuner.
