I've been doing that for years....
In Response To: Can use pressure to start a siphon ()

I use two hoses since my diesel jugs no not have vents. I wouldn't want to put my mouth around a vent anyway.

I thick hose from the bottom of the tank to the filler, A thin hose from my mouth to the top of the jug. Wrap a paper towel around the two hoses and blow.
