Happily installed in Seattle for February. South Pacific is a hit wherever we go. I'm having a ball.

Anyway, there's a joke in the show: Bloody Mary explains how she just brought her daughter over to the base from Bali Hai to see the young lieutenant. "She come over in big white boat..." and then as she passes by Emile de Becque, the dashing older French hero of the show, she adds under her breath, "...bigger than YOUR boat!" The joke went over fine most everywhere, but suddenly, when we reached Palm Beach, the audience exploded. I guess in Florida this is a line they all understand deeply. Oh, yeah, I should add, they get it here in Seattle too. Dallas, not so much.
