If you trawler is over 25 years old or so, you could consider Hagerty Classic boat insurance. I use them for Argyle; 1975 Downeaster 38. Best rate I could find and some companies would not even talk to me for a boat that age.

If you're interested, look up David Gonzalez insurance right there in Norwalk. They are my broker for Hagerty, they are normally an Allstate agency and don't know a whole lot about boat stuff, but they are just a broker and have found them pretty easy to work with.

I have not filed a clam so TIFWIW.
