For me the thing is the wireless internet via usb modem more than anything. I don't mind paying for a wireless connection, I just don't want to pay that rate. W/a good connection I can call in to my US cell # and no one is the wiser. I can follow up calls with Skype.

It seems obvious (to me after going though their website and chatting with a machine I think), Verizon has no plan. It looks like all Canada to US with my US Verizon plan is 40 cents a minute. I don't see a better Verizon plan.

I contacted Canadian Bell, and all of their Canadian based to US phone services is 40 cents a minute. So I am thinking of Skype at 2.8 cents a minute with a Canadian internet connection, which I think will be a metered rate, which would be OK for me. I have a feeling somehow I am screwed. Then there is the issue of cell phone/wireless coverage.
