is much better on the Bell system (Bell,Telus, Virgin) than the Rogers network. Cell phone prices are higher here than the US I think. I'm not sure that you'll be able to save much money by the time you get set up for such a short period. Why not consider a different approach? Many small communities in Nova Scotia have community access computers with free internet ( called C@P locations IIRC), you could use the cell sparingly and when near a C@P location do all your internet communicating. Also lots of spots have Wifi access as well. Mind you there are a lot of nice anchorages around that have "nada" when you are sick of being on a cell phone 500 minutes a month !!
