I am in the installation phase for my SSB. In addition to two dyaplates and .11 3"copper tape to connect all, I am going to install radials too. (Belt & suspenders.) The local ham guru shop owner, who does a lot of boats as he is in Ft Lauderdale, says that they don't have to be below the water line, but the ICOM tech guy says they should be. My installation will have most of the length of the radials below the water line but not all. I can get all below the water line but with more than just minor difficulty. Thoughts? Thank you in advance for your help.
