I mentioned it before as I was running a lot of shower (sump pump) water through the Vacuflush to conserve fresh water ( filling the bowl a couple of times when flushing solids). You suggested I use salt water instead and rinse with fresh. I like to run a lot of water through the Vacuflush. They seem to like it.

I returned to Panama a couple of days ago with parts to rebuild the Vacuflush pump. Before I left I cleaned the parts ( duck bills, diaphragm, tubes, etc. with muriatic acid and they came out very clean. Hurt my small cuts though. I'll wear gloves next time.
