I think you're better off with a sealed unit for the bow

() Lopolight would be my first choice if cost is not a primary consideration. Otherwise Hella NavLED or Aqua-Signal Series 32. (I suspect they are both made by the same factory in the far east, judging by the design/construction similarities. BTW I don't like the way they mount, both relying on a delicate plastic piece to expand inside the mounting hole, like a wall anchor.)
