Methinks the so-called sailing "powers that be" will be found guilty in the

court of public opinion Agree with you that it's pretty amazing what she's accomplished --with a VERY competent and determined team behind her; this was no truly "solo" effort. For anybody who cares about this record shit, what Sailworld said is fairly petty-sounding...she sailed through the entire Southern Ocean, but didn't go far enough north, to Spain, so her voyage isn't a record...LMAO!

"To claim that you have broken Jesse Martin's record, regardless of age, you need to sail the same course," [the Sailworld official] said. "He sailed 26,300 nautical miles, he went way up past Spain and turned and came back down. Why did he do it? He wasn't after pizza, he did it because that's what the rules say you need to do."
