What's PEX pipe? 
In Response To: Sigh, to have 30 year old nuts again! DQ though... ()
I looked at 1/2" PVC, but the outside diameter was about the same as 1/2" water hose and too large to fit through the little hole under the sole that the copper pipe fit through.
