Yup, That's the one...
In Response To: Mucky Duck.... ()

We're located on Lake Winnipesaukee in NH and are into SCUBA diving. We scour the bottom looking for rare artifacts form the past, long past. There has been over 350 years of civilization on the lake and there are some great artifacts form the past just waiting to be found. Most of my dives have me in searching in the mud bottom a foot or so deep and when I get back on board I've been known to leave some tracks. One of my buddies who have a house in Fort Myers took us to the Mucky Duck for lunch and thought the name was appropriate for my new barge. If you take the time to do a little research in to the name Mucky Duck, you'll find it was a Traven on a canal in Scotland back in the 1600s. They had a couple of swans that would forage in the mud hole out back and were always covered in mud and name stuck. The story I was reading says it still an operating tavern today complete with the dirty swans.

I have a degenerative nerve disease, that is progressively getting worse and maintenance of the sailboat or even just getting around on it is very hard for me. I can still do the diving, as long as I have help getting my gear back on board and out of my suit. Last year we logged on over 500 miles on the sailboat and never raise the sails once. Like others here, I still check in here everday and enjoy reading about people's adventures and what not.

I can just hear Jon's comments now...
