It was a very nice looking "high end" unit, glass cook top and downdraft exhaust fan in the rear that vented outside, but it cooked very poorly and was totally unreliable. I sent it to the dealer in Washington and they charged around $300 to fix it, and it stopped working again the following year. When it worked it would take more than 25 minutes to boil just a quart of water and the temperature control was so slow to react (and heating so poor) we basically treated it as if it was on/off.
I would never buy another Wallas anything.
