I never had cooking issues with it. That is to say, until early in 2009, when I found the lower oven/boiler part of the combination not working any longer. The glass cooktop was working just fine at that time. Wallas only has 1 dealer in the entire USA (Scan Marine in Seattle). I contacted them and they tried to do some remote diagnostics by looking at digital photos they asked me to send. Eventually, they asked that I ship it to them. I did not do this because I was fast running out of time and had to get an immediate replacement since I was leaving on a cruise. I replaced the Wallas with a Force 10.
