What does a snow capped mountain have to do with cruising?
In Response To: Wednesday is PHOTO DAY! ()

We visited Mt Chimborazo after leaving the boat in Bahia de Caraquez, Ecuador. Because of the equatorial bulge of the Earth, even though it's only 20,703 ft high, it's peak is further from the center of the Earth than is that of Everest. At about 16,000 ft, we got nowhere near the top (nor were we even trying), but it was a personal best for me. The fact that we got snowed on so close to the equator after being in a tropical environment for so long was just sweet.
