about a couple named the "Balies". 119 days drifting around the Pacific after being struck by a pissed off whale which had been attacked by a Whaling operation. Also in the early 70's I believe. They were finely picked up by a fishing boat when they were on their last legs. He gave a list at the end of the book of suggested items for your ditch bag. I found it extremely useful and incorporated it into my bag when I left on my first 3 year trip. It's a very good read but most likely out of print by now.
