it happened to My buddy Dave Kissel on Allegra, a Beneteau 37. We cruised in at Des Haies in Guadeloupe, and he got dinged. He was registered, but his papers had expired, The man said 1000 francs or jail, his choice........ maybe it's even MORE expensive if like your friend registration doesn't exists.....
