Many, too many years ago while anchored outside Chubb the dinghy "got loose".
I saw it go and dove in... 24 years old and a GOOD swimmer...not even close!
The wind pushed it away too fast. Had to pull the hook and chase it down with the OI-41.
Lesson for me:
Keep throwable device / devices ready. Easy to toss and low profile.
For the last decade we have kept a Rescue Bag clipped to the rail. (Poly-pro line in a bag)
Used by the whitewater crowd. Hold the tail and throw the bag.
Let the dink go, throw everything, point, yell and have a plan that you PRACTICE...it's fun.
