I bought one last summer

for a variety of tasks during our haul-out. It cut through solid 1" FG like butter although I did go through a couple blades. You could certainly use it to remove caulk. With the blade laid flat it shouldn't chew on the surface and would remove sealant nicely. Like Westy says, a quick clean with some coarse grit and you're good to go. I bought the Dremel and a nice Makita right angle drill to work in some really tight spaces. Worth every penny.
