Bomar Portlight gaskets

Tricia, I was just looking at that gasket material this morning, I need to replace mine on four of the 5 Bomar portlights I have. Any thoughts or tips??

Good source for Portlight seals?
- Why "open cell" foam -- I would think "closed cell" to avoid water absorbtion and transmission?

  - Yep. I got silicone cord stock at McMaster-Carr...
    - Interesting... looks like lots of good stuff
    - Dave, how exactly did you use the silicone cord?
      - My Cheoy Lee ports had old, hard, rotted weather stripping.
