IMHO there is no such thing. Generators run at boat shows compete w/ a lot, I mean a lot of background noise. Honda's are gas and although a lot of cruisers use them, I'm damn glad not to be next to them in a quiet anchorage. Even they're noisy when only the birds are around!

        Not an issue. It's about as loud as a wind-gen
        
        3db is twice as loud
        
        Solar and wind is difficult with hig amperage usage.
