I have been in contact with a couple of owners groups and Islander Yachts historians. According to their records, hull number 415 was built in 1984 and commissioned in December of 1984. It was the last hull they thought exsisted.

We have hull number 416. According to the original paperwork that came with the boat (we bought it from the original owner) this boat was built in 1984 and commissioned in 1985, then delivered to Cleveland, OH and finally on to Buffalo. So, it appears that we have the last I28 off the production line before the company went out of business, reportedly due to the passing of the "luxury tax".
