When Irwin was going out of business the last few boats were finished using whatever they had left over. While cruising, we got to know a guy that worked in the Irwin factory during the last days. He told us that he poured hundreds of pounds of stainless steel bolts, screws, washers and cut up pieces of metal in the keel of a couple of boats to use up what was going to be left over.

Not sure if that's bad. They could have used cement.
