Tack #2 to the west was into the sunset. Except for a couple hours of motoring to charge the batteries for the night, it was a terrific sail, perhaps my most memorable. Waves, courtesy of Danielle.
Our two kids college bound elected to sail to Logan airport, as long as it included sailing to places like Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, Cuttyhunk, to name a few. Mary Ann brought their luggage, and the car. We left that in Onset courtesy of Dave Evans. He made our land/boat connections simple, even picked me up at some obscure bus stop on my return from Savanah Georgia. (another story)
It was a great send off and a remarkable night on the Gulf for me. Closing a loop so to speak. Speaking of which, I'm sending this from Lonely Monhegan Island, about to close the loop on this adventure. A beam reach home up Penobscot Bay on westerly winds to Rockport Maine, and an empty, but very happy nest.
