Will try and replace my original countertops on our 1986 Tartan 40 this fall. Looking for suggestions. Had thought about Corian, but am told it is heavy, may be susceptible to cracking, and possibly inferior with the new alternatives & laminates ... I've seen the Safas Granicoat.

Whatever I do, I'd like something nice. Be doing the work myself so cost may not be as big an issue, and I can probably get by with one sheet. The interior is fairly traditional, lots of teak, so on the darkish side but warm & cozy below.
