• This was a busy weekend at our club for mast unstepping. Several boats damaged already!
  • ...by inexperienced amateurs... Methinks thou dost protest too much..
    • Lots of entertainment to watch this weekend.

    • I have two more weekends of sailing left. If I took the mast down I'd have dropped it this weekend, the weather great.
  • bummer but it can also be a quantified incident against unstepping without experienced help?...
    • No request for assistance yielded the results you'd expect. Besides, everything was fine until the thing cut loose.

      • exactly. everbody (well, alost everybody) needs help the first time doing anything.

      • Hey! We have almost a dozen of those flying machines in our Air Farce.

          • Oh wow, that rudder looks so "exposed" sitting way out there...
          • They do hire U.S. operators for those cranes don't they?
            • Not in California. They don't even speak English.
              • Actually the best crane operators I've ever seen was in San Carlos Mexico ... they were making about $24. day.
                • Good crews down there.
