I leave mine on.

I used to take it down every year and the yard would beat it up so bad moving it around I just gave up. There are 3 dents in the mast from laying it on the permanant horses they use to store them and damage to the rigging just became too much. I understand both arguments but it just seems like keeping it up is less damaging. I loosen up the standing a little so that the change in shape of the boat doesn't put too much strain on rigging and have not had problems. Plus its and extra $360.00 a year for the opportunity to bang it around;-)
