about the noodles, although in a panic I'd probably be happy with just about anything. Even if whatever I used didn't completely stop the leak but just slowed it down enough so that I could formulate a plan B would probably be okay.

I was thinking about a denser foam. I think I've seen roll-up rafts or mats made of a really thick foam that might work better. My hope was to think outside the box a bit and find a more useful material for cheap.

I don't know. I'm just looking for ideas.
