The pump that came with my Aquapro dinghy is the ubiquitous Bravo 2 made by Scoprega. While is works after a fashion, I have an original Avon (pre-Zodiac ruination) foot pump for the Tinker that so completely outclasses it in every possible way. The Bravo is wobbly, flimsy, slips underfoot, and pumps about half as fast with twice the effort. The Avon is made from varnished ash plywood and looks like it was made in the Morgan Coachworks in England a century ago, e.g., antiquated and quaint but robust and ultimately efficient.
There is today almost no choice but the line of Bravo foot pumps. Has anyone experience with the Bravo 8 in comparison with the earlier Bravo2? The Bravo 10 claims to have glass reinforced plastic construction, so maybe it wouldn't be as spongy underfoot, however it is a dual chamber pump which I don't need or want. The Bravo 8 makes no claim on the plastic, so I suppose it is just as floppy as the 2?
